Do you prescribe weight loss medications?
We do prescribe medications that assist with weight loss. However, over 80% of our DietMD® patients do not require weight loss medications to see results and reach their weight loss and wellness goals.
How much weight will I lose, and how fast?
On average, patients lose 1 to 2 pounds per week after their first month on our program. Individual results vary based on personal health and lifestyle factors.
How much does it cost to start the DietMD® program?
The DietMD® weight loss program requires a 1-year membership fee of $249. The cost of each scheduled visit is billed separately.
Does the DietMD® program offer virtual options?
Yes. While we recommend in-office visits for patients in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, virtual televisits are available to all Texas residents.
Do I have to work out on the program?
Working out and exercising is not required. We recommend regular physical activity to maintain good health and wellness and to aid in weight loss.
Do I stop seeing my regular doctor when I join the program?
No, you do not have to change physicians to be a patient at DietMD®. We can work with your current doctor to adjust your medications as needed during the course of your lifestyle changes.
Do you sell supplements at DietMD®?
We do not sell supplements. Any supplements used in the program are at the patient’s will. Our weight loss experts have curated a list of recommended products on Amazon.com.
Do I need bloodwork before joining the program?
While bloodwork and labs are optional, we do recommend a bloodwork panel when you first start with DietMD®. Repeating bloodwork every 4 months helps us monitor your internal progress along with your external weight loss. Bloodwork may be covered by your health insurance provider. Out-of-pocket costs range from $0 to $400 depending on the tests ordered.
