Crispy, Juicy Chicken Thighs with Cilantro Lime Avocado Crema
1.5 lbs bone-in skin-on chicken thighs (this gets you much more flavor than boneless)
one bunch of fresh cilantro
2 to 4 tbsp minced garlic
Salt & Pepper
1/2 tbsp cumin
2 tbsp chile lime seasoning
2 to 4 tbsp sour cream or Mexican crema
Add chicken thighs to a bowl or ziplock bag, then add juice from 2 limes, 2 tbsp minced garlic, 2-3 pinches of salt, fresh ground pepper, ½ tbsp cumin, and 1 tbsp chile lime seasoning.
Let marinate for at least 20 minutes or up to overnight for the best flavor.
Airfry chicken thighs at 425F for 17-20 minutes or until cooked to 165F internal temperature.
While thighs are roasting, make the sauce:
In a food processor or blender add a handful of cilantro, 2 tbsp minced garlic, 2 to 4 tbsp crema or sour cream, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp chile lime seasoning, 2 medium avocado, and the juice of 2 limes. Blend to desired consistency.
