2 teaspoons + 2 tablespoons avocado oil

½ teaspoon ginger, minced

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

½ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos (we used spicy coconut aminos)

¼ cup water

½ cup packed brown sugar stevia

1 pound New York strip (or your favorite cut of beef, thinly sliced)

⅓ cup cornstarch or baking powder (tenderizer)

2 green onions, sliced

1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

sesame seeds (for garnish)


Prepare the Beef:

Begin by thinly slicing your beef to ¼ of an inch thick strips.

Prepare the Tenderizer:

In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch or baking powder with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss the sliced beef in the tenderizer until each piece is evenly coated. This step will add a delightful crispiness to the beef when cooked.

Prepare your sauce:

In a saucepan quickly sauté your minced ginger and garlic for 1-2 minutes. Pour in soy sauce (or coconut aminos), water, brown sugar stevia, and sesame oil (if using). Bring to a boil and then simmer until the sauce starts to thicken.

Sauté and Garnish the Beef:

Heat 2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tenderized beef slices and stir-fry until they are cooked to your preferred level of doneness. Once cooked, pour in your sauce, add your chopped green onions, and toss your beef in the flavorful sauce for 1-2 minutes.

Serve and Enjoy:
